How do you answer tough questions about Islam?
An atheist asks
“Do you believe in God?”
Abdul raises his eyebrow. “Yeah, I do,” he says.
Tony smirks. “Yeah, I thought so. You look like the type.”
“Huh?” Abdul says.
“You know you have no basis, right? You can’t see God, hear God – how do you know there’s a higher being? You can’t prove it.”
“But the Qu’ran says-”
“Prove it without using your book.”
Abdul is silent.
What would you say?
How should Abdul respond to Tony? When faced with this type of situation, we may not know how to respond to arguments posed by atheists, agnostics, Christians, and other faith groups. How should a Muslim approach a conversation with someone like Tony?
Is da’wa about converting people?
What is da’wa exactly? Is da’wa primarily about converting non-Muslims? Or is da’wa simply about presenting a positive image of Islam?
Qurba Academy’s weekend course Modern Discourse: Displaying the Way of Grace will teach you how to communicate effectively, and rehearse da’wa scenarios with non-Muslims.
Everyone can benefit by taking this weekend course. After attending you will:
- Gain knowledge in the basic fundamentals of da’wa
- Learn the characteristics of a person of da’wa
- Become aware of the impediments to delivering da’wa in sensitive situations
